3 Ways To Celebrate National Tequila Day, Everyday

‘Cause the party don’t start until Tequila walks in.

You know it’s going to be a good night when you hear someone crack open a bottle of tequila. But gone are the days when the only way to enjoy the much-belove Mexican spirit was burrying your hand in salt and begging the bartender for yesterday’s leftover lime wedge.

In order to celebrate National Tequila Day here are 3 Clooney approved cocktails.

Ginger Berry Lemonade Recipe

GINGER BERRY LEMONADE

2 oz. Casamigos Blanco Tequila

.5 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice

.5 oz. Simple Syrup

6 Blueberries

Top off with Gingerberry by GT’s Kombucha

Method: Combine all ingredients, except kombucha into a tin shaker and muddle fruit. Add ice and shake vigorously then fine strain into a collins glass. Add fresh ice and garnish with fresh blueberries and edible flowers.

Cayennade Margarita Recipe

CAYENNADE MARGARITA

2 oz. Casamigos Blanco Tequila

.75 oz. Fresh Lime Juice

.5 oz. Agave Nectar

1 Serrano Pepper Slice

Top off with Cayennade by GT’s Kombucha

Method: Combine all ingredients, except kombucha into a tin shaker and muddle serrano. Add ice and shake vigorously. Fine strain into rocks glass and add fresh ice. Top off with GT’s Cayennade Kombucha. Garnish with lemon wheel on skewer with cayenne salt sprinkle over top.

Spicy Cucumber Cilantro Popsicle Recipe

SPICY CUCUMBER CILANTRO POPSICLE

5 oz. Casamigos Blanco Tequila

14 oz. Fresh Lime Juice

8 oz. Simple Syrup

18 Cucumber Slices + 24 for Later

16–24 Serrano Slices (peppers vary in spice, add as desired)

Medium Handful of Cilantro

Method: Combine all ingredients into blender and blend until smooth. Fine strain contents into pouring vessel, then fill 12 popsicle molds. Be sure to leave a little room towards top so the liquid doesn’t overflow and make sure to let the froth settle down before covering, otherwise you will have an air-filled popsicle once frozen. Once settled, add 2 whole cucumber slices to each popsicle, pushing down fruit with popsicle stick and freeze for a minimum of 6 hours, preferably overnight. Once ready, pour warm water over mold and popsicle will come right out. If serving to guests, place in a cup of crushed ice to keep cold or add to a Casamigos Margarita for double the flavour.
