Music Hound // Music to Sunday Funday
It is spring time, and that means only one thing for some of us, weekend brunch. I love nothing more then a mean Salmon Egg Benedict to cure my weekend hang over. Here are some of my favourites for your Sunday Funday! Enjoy with a Double Caesar garnished with Candied Bacon of course.
Nothing says Brunch or Mimosa more than a funky slice of Disco House. The fantastic use of flange in this track harkens back to the best of French Touch. A perfect way to get the party, (hmm breakfast), started.
If Bashmore celebrates the roots of house music’s past, then DJDS aka Dodger Stadium stands up proudly for it’s future. Fresh off from workin’ on 5 tracks from Kanye’s ‘The Life of Pablo’, this LA duo are ready for their name in the bright lights.
Also coming to us straight out of LA is this angelic cut, produced by electronic music favourite Michael David of Classixx with vocals by Sarah Chernoff of Superhumanoids. It is a sublime mix of tropical house and Chicago acid squelch, that is bound to be a crowd favourite. Their whole EP released last month is worth a spin around the dance floor.
From Vancouver, Humans’ gentle house rhythm will bring you back to shore. Then the track begins to rise like a lost Underworld favourite, before hitting choppy waters; no worries that is just the dance floor shaking. A perfect track for when the sun begins to set on one of those spring Sunday Fundays, that you just never want to end.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
