Horses, Helicopters and a Helluva Good Time

Is there any better way to celebrate the launch of Ralph Lauren’s Polo Blue fragrance than a stunning game of Snow Polo lead to (spoiler alert) victory by model, brand ambassador and real life polo champion Nacho Figueras?

No.

A short one-hour flight from Toronto’s Billy Bishop and you land in Mont Tremblant.  Renowned for its ski slopes, this idyllic Canadian paradise played backdrop to the glamourous, fur-clad crowd’s during the third edition of the Canadian Snow Polo tournament. While the traditional sport of polo is played on grass, in 1985 a small group of crazy Swiss had the idea to transform the game by taking polo thundering across the frozen surface of Lake St. Moritz and in the process accidentally creating one of the most badass prized polo tournaments the world round. If you ask Nacho what the success smelled like it would likely have top notes of sliced cucumber, middle notes of basil and base notes of velvety moss.
